Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the heart of the Rockies, David Thompson Resort Hotel is a tranquil escape for nature lovers like myself. The breathtaking mountain views from the suite were a dream come true, perfect for capturing stunning landscape shots. The cozy room with a kitchenette allowed us to enjoy a warm cup of coffee while admiring the serene surroundings.Despite the rustic charm, the modern amenities such as a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi in rooms ensured we had a comfortable stay. The friendly staff, like the young man at the restaurant, added a personal touch to our visit, making us feel truly welcomed. The delicious beef brisket and the hearty à la carte breakfast were delightful treats after long days of exploring the national park. While the lack of cell coverage may deter some, for me, it was a blessing, allowing us to truly disconnect and immerse ourselves in the wilderness. The convenience of on-site shops, a playground, and laundry facilities made our stay convenient and hassle-free. The safety features provided a sense of security, knowing that we were in good hands. In conclusion, David Thompson Resort Hotel is a hidden gem in the mountains, offering a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and hospitality. I highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a peaceful retreat in the Canadian wilderness.
